Legal marketing - the train takes the strain

Law firm Blackbourn & Bond has found a novel way to market its services to commuters.

It decided to offer free one-to-one sessions with passengers travelling first class to London from Shrewsbury and Telford. Lawyers Nick Blackbourn and Dwight Bond provided advice on matters relating to business and commercial property.

Mr Blackbourn said: “We are always looking for new and innovative ways of engaging with the business community. This provides the ideal opportunity for us to share our legal expertise in a completely new business environment. It also demonstrates the importance we place on promoting approachable and proactive relationships.”

Full marks for trying and don't forget, it's not just about the effectiveness of the idea itself, it is also the publicity generated that counts. This offbeat approach got the firm widespread coverage in the local media.
